Start with your current studio
If your studio already uses Square, test the complete checkout and booking journey before replacing it. Compare processor terms, hardware compatibility and your consent-form workflow separately.
Run the same test in both products
Create a sample enquiry with placement, style and reference details. Turn it into an agreed appointment, record a deposit, review a consent form and close the session. Note where a separate tool or manual handoff is required.
Test a reschedule and a returning client as well. A feature label alone does not show whether the workflow suits your staff or your clients.
Compare the whole cost
Include the subscription, staff or location charges, payment processing, messages, additional tools and migration work. Compare the same billing period and region. Vendor terms can change, so use the current official quote rather than an old comparison table.
Where InkFlow fits
InkFlow provides studio workflows for booking, client records, digital intake and payment records. Free is local-only; connected workflows depend on plan and provider setup. Pro lists up to five artists. Check the pricing page and test the workflow in your account.
Make a decision from evidence
Keep the product that meets your essential workflow with acceptable cost and migration effort. A switch is not automatically better than improving your existing setup. This guide is published by InkFlow, not an independent testing organization; it does not assign unsupported scores or claim that another vendor lacks a feature without current verification.
